About the Workshops

The RELEASES HIV/AIDS Creative Writing Workshop, and the EXPRESS HIV/AIDS Performance Workshop that grew out of it, is unique in that it's the only group that participants attend where their seriopositive status and attendant health problems and social/psychological/emotional struggle are not the focus.

The focus here is their experience and growth as creative artists - finding their unique voices and articulating their own stories as finely-crafted literary art. The empowerment that comes from that experience, and the healing potential of it, are momentus.
